Guuuuys! This past week has been so hard.
I produced 31 pages of academia in 7 days.
No big deal.
Anyways, enough talk about school.
This week Sarah and I launched our magazine! We have been working on it since January. It's turned out to be a smutty, sex positive, queer positive, radical, perverse collection of Concordia student art, poetry, short stories, photographs etc.
The launch party was at Il Motore and the whole night was a freakin blast from beginning to end.
This is what I wore:
Dress: Borrowed from Becky (purchased at H and M in October) Thanks Becky!!
Shoes: Payless
Tight: American Apparel (bought them last week - they have already shredded to bits, the damn things)
When I saw the finished product, I said, "Oh my god. I feel like I just gave birth!" Not that I would know. I'm being metaphorical. Obviously. I had so much fun working on it with Sarah. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had! I will post pictures of the artwork soon!
This is the brightest (and most obnoxious!) spring outfit I could find - the objective: to represent my happiness regarding the warmer weather! Too bad I have to stay in to write papers for the next 100 years (2 weeks) of my life.
If you've seen me around recently, you may have noticed my knee socks. Its ma new thang.
I am a huge nerd and have been looking forward to course registration day for a few months now. I woke up at 5 am this morning, ready to craft my third year of university. Why do I care so much? Well for starters, I devote a lot of time to each class (going to it, writing papers, studying for exams) and when you work it out, each class costs about $50, so I want to get my money's worth. I want to enjoy my classes, so that I can appreciate the fact that I am receiving a unique education in a city that I love. In fear of sounding preachy and annoying, ill just say this: There are some people who love school and some people who hate it. What works for me, might not work for you. But regardless, I am so excited by my classes next year!!!
-AIDS: Aspects of Pandemic (lectures, workshops, and volunteer experience contribute to grade)
-Creative Writing Workshop: Drama
-Creative Writing Workshop: Writing for Children (I took a year off from writing workshops and am excited to get back in there!)
-A World of Food: Geography
-History of 20th Century Fashion (HOLY SHIT SO EXCITED)
-The Graphic Novel
-And I cant decide between Feminism, Race and Racism OR Sexuality in the Performing Arts
Heres a picture that I took of myself before school from a few weeks ago:
I look really tired in this picture, and its likely that I really was. Deragh says the shirt reminds her of the lizard for The Rescuers Down Under. I would have to agree.
