Silver Streak
Sunday, June 12, 2011
At the beginning of summer I died a silver streak into the front of my hair that has now faded to a greenish blonde. Next I plan to dye it blue. At times I feel it doesn't suit me, so I part my hair in such a way that it doesn't show. But in other moments, when I'm out and getting rowdy or drunk, dancing perhaps, mingling you could say, I'll flip my front part to the left and let the streak take the stage. If you are in Montreal I highly recommend Salon Identite, where I hands down, recieved the most amazing cut of my life. AND It's a cozy, political, queer positive space, run by two of the best hair stylists in the city. You can read more about it here.
The cut was inspired by Jane Belfry's video on Style Like U and here were some inspiration photos I showed Julie before the cut

Ooh, I like it and it makes me wish I had long curly hair. But I can't even manage my short bob!

Wow, it looks fabulous even in its slightly green state! I can't wait to see all the fun colors it becomes over the summer. And oooh boy do I love that pink and palest peach combo. So good!
Ooooo I like! You always look so beautiful, but in an effortless way. I'm always striving for that!
By the way, your comment on my blog made me literally laugh out loud. It sounded like something my mom would say! Mom's can be so funny, but I'll take the compliment. Thank her for me :)
I think you're missing Cruella de Ville in your inspiration folder! I think it looks pretty rocking, but it's cool that you can flip it out of the equation too.
I love it!
i love the effortless chic look...that skirt is to die for
I was thinking of dying a streak in my hair, but it would never look as natural as your's does :/

I love it because it really reminds me of a victorian chicness for some reason. Don't hid it. EVER! It's very glamourous.
I have naturally black hair, but I bleached the whole back blonde and kept it for a year. I'm a short little lady, yet people could ALWAYS find me because of my bright fiery mane. And then I dyed it brown (much to my friends' disappointment because now they cannot find me in a crowd anymore haha) and now it is starting to turn into a greenish blonde as well! haha I guess the blonde wants to make a comeback!
