John Hughes

It was a sad day yesterday. John Hughes passed away :( His teen movies of the 80's are iconic. Most present day teen flicks are still using his formula, but few give credit to youth for our intelligence, quirk and culture like he did. That said, I'm seeing paper heart this weekend (my first movie theater visit of the summer!) and I'm REALLY looking forward to it. But will it be able to impact me as deeply as Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Buelers Day Off and Home Alone? It's doubtful. Yesterday was a sad day indeed.
