Love

Kate Nash is the master of singing unrequited love songs. We've all been there, right? The two words basically sum up my entire high school experience. Hayley introduced me to her after showing me this video which is also incredible and about a guy whos just not that into her. I dont know why Nash seems to have such a hard time getting a good lay - seeing as she is such a talented musician and lyricist and all.

This song is my favorite right now - I listened to it about 50 times on my vacation.

Kate Nash is a god. I saw her last year at the Mod Club and I had a totally nerd-out, especially because we got up to the front. I'm pretty sure she saw us singing like mad men along to "Mariella" because she gave us the strangest look. Love her.

Seeing her live would be so ultimate. Confession: there is a vision that comes into my head often when i listen to kate nash songs. it involves me, on stage, singing "we get on" and "nicest thing"(as if they were my own creation) And im up there working the audience so hard, making them laugh, and cry and sing along. its the best vision ever. then i realize i will never be able to sing or write lyrics like kate nash and then i wonder what she looks like cause i still dont know. arent you sad about John Hughes dying? he was so young. John Hughes brought us together!

Your vision is amazing. Honestly, I would kill to be able to write like her. I guess we'll just have to keep worshipping from afar. Or maybe just do some Kate karaoke (do you think they have it? I would die.). Also, You should look up a pic of her..because you would love her! She's a red-head! And super-sassy in a vintagey kind of way.
And I am devestated about John Hughes! I am still head-over-heels for all of his Molly Ringwald movies (and of course, Jake Ryan). I don't know that I'll ever be able to watch them now without being sad though.
P.S. - Just wanted to tell you that I heart your blog Miss Morris (I may or may not be a 90-year-old southern old lady).
